Become a Teacher

Lead a small live class in your subject. We provide the curriculum, the platform, and the training — you bring the knowledge and the heart to help a girl believe in what she can achieve.

Responsibilities

  • Teach live online classes in your subject
  • Prepare and adapt lessons using our curriculum
  • Give students feedback and encouragement
  • Maintain a safe, respectful classroom

Qualifications

  • Expertise in your subject (degree or equivalent)
  • Teaching experience preferred, not required
  • Patience, warmth, and reliability
  • Farsi and/or English proficiency

Time commitment

2–5 hours per week, for at least one term. Class times are flexible around your schedule.

Absolutely. Teaching is just one way to contribute. We welcome volunteers across many areas, from operations and content writing to design, data, and outreach. Whatever your skills are, there’s likely a place for them here, see the full list of volunteer areas above.

Yes, every volunteer is fully remote and flexible, so you can contribute in a way that fits your schedule, wherever you’re based.

All contributions are fully remote and flexible, so you can engage in a way that fits your availability, skills, and interests. There’s no single fixed commitment; DOF welcomes both short-term and long-term volunteers. That said, most roles ask for at least 2-4 hours a per week for a minimum of one semester, so students can count on consistent support. 

Yes. Daughters of Freedom runs a structured internship program for university and graduate students, with fourteen tracks spanning education, finance, technology, wellbeing, public health, communications, data, fundraising, design, and more. Internships run either semester-based (3-5 months) or an extended term (6 months), and every intern is paired with a DOF mentor and receives a certificate of completion.
